Unedited #Eclipse2024 from Keeseville, NY
... no words!
On Monday, April 8th, 2024, a total solar eclipse, whereby the Moon casts a shadow on the Earth and completely blocks out the bright part of the Sun, was seen in Mexico, the United States, and Canada. The path of totality included cities like Mazatlan, Austin, Dallas, Little Rock, Indianapolis, Cleveland, Buffalo, and Montréal. A partial eclipse was visible throughout most of North and Central America, parts of western Europe, as well as the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans.
I journeyed from NYC together with my dad from NYC to Keeseville, New York, just south of Plattsburgh. We were joined by my cousin and her boyfriend, and we encountered a couple from Albany as well. The experience was ... like I said, no words!

@@Zakolus - My channel was demonetized some time ago, and I'm still in the middle of copyright resolution. Apologies.
This a abomination but on the good feeringa
That song flu by.
Waar is de Sovjetunie zodat ik ze kan verslaan
"That's not my department" BEST LINE EVER!🤣😂
I was taught old math like 6-7yrs ago in europe... And this new thing sounds stupid and a method to do a two step move in ten... Even if in base8
Boze moi - means "my god!" Or "dear god!" A great nod to something a russian living in exile for 50yrs would still say. Its in their blood.
Posting as a Jew, "...and everyone hates the Jews" is, sadly, STILL relevant today, to varying degrees. Tom Lehrer is a mensch.
I think we all know what the local Parson Brown did!
The Jazz one sounded most insulting out of all the other styles he parodied it! The Italian one sounded pretty damn respectful! Haha!

tbh Asuna would adore this song
is somebody gonna match my 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴
For some reason, only known by some do-gooder who thinks it might corrupt us, the sound of this oldie but goody has been muted. But, Haha, the words remain.
My channel was demonetized some time ago, and I'm still in the middle of copyright resolution. Apologies.
I want this played on my funeral
An important supplement to US history.
Listen those kpop people aren’t gay. You’re just downbad and no one likes you. So you overwork to drown out those feelings. Personally if a random couple starts making out in front of me on the train I actually get physically angry. I have to look somewhere else. Not non binary. Just disgusted by y’all
Honestly I'd rather have this as the song I sing every morning. It'll make thinga alot less dull.
As a kid, I listened to this song over and over again, just so that I could eventually sing along. Then I actually _listened_ to the words. And that's how I learned the concept of bases. [And yes, Base 8 would make *perfect* sense for a four-fingered species! Base 10 for them would be like hexadecimal for us.]
Lehrer's wicked humor was the music of choice when I was in the college in the fifties. Who could have believed it applies even better today.
I liked the artwork shown when they were talking about the World Health Organization. I didn’t know top hats were still a thing then!
我は官軍我が敵は

Moo. Should be a Jersey cow.
Okay but- tango music with dark lyrics is fire 🔥 This song and stalker's tango are amazing.
I agree, I need to find more songs like these >:]
“Yo oh oh our, teeth, love” itches my brain so good Omg
Notice he revised the line from "put my white sheet on again" to "... that white sheet on again", and the line about the tear gas was removed.
There should be a compass on the front cover of Tom Lehrer's first album: My Home Town in the center, I Wanna Go Back to Dixie to the south, Fight Fiercely Harvard to the east, The Hunting Song to the north, and The Wild West is Where I Wanna Be to the west. Then a distant arrow pointing northeast to the Irish Ballad and Lobachevsky.
play this and open World of Tank
And we'll all feel gay when Johnny comes marching home.
Standup Comedy benefits from a piano and the Bill Of Rights. ¯\_( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)_/¯
Prognostication!
This man is an absolute genius! These songs were written when I was ten...I'm heading for 70... I can't think of any comedy performances that would be so current after all these... And oh, the piano! If he'd only produced this sparkle of genius he would be a legend... but there are the lyrics and the performance, just stunningly brilliant!
I love Katyusha she's my wife
I love Nishizumi Miho she's my wife
I love Anzai Chiyomi (Anchovy) she's my wife
I love Akiyama Yukari she's my wife
Patrolling the mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter.
The “new math” was taught by teachers trained in the old math. They did not understand what they were teaching and were responsible for an entire generation of American children being unable to do the simplest calculations throughout their lives.
It's very helpful to learn this way for then learning binary and hexadecimal which are staples of computing, although the latter is more useful day to day.
I get the feeling he's low-key annoyed about the "new math" so he's letting off steam with this piece of satire.
Honestly I wonder how masochism even came into existence like someone was just having sex with someone and then and one of them accidentally hurt the other and the other was just like "oh wait I enjoy this"
I just realized my country teaches “old math” because I don’t recognize the system he’s explaining.
Which country?
Maybe it’s new new math
In the Book of Genesis, the story of Lot -- the only *_just man_* in Sodom, is about as dirty as you can get.
This also is brilliant. I do know several folk songs, some of them quite vulgar, but he's right about several of the recently-born "folk songs".
They just don't make 'so like that any more! Can you think of any contemporary offerings that would still admire over 40 years later and still be funny!
Pretty lame…
Hes actually kinda cute..
